    Would you play...

    A game with this type of Custom Battle System?

    Running into Battles:
    Touch a monster.

    Setup:
    A small battlefield (not sure how small) will have a group of monsters on one side (1-4) and you on the other side (you have no teammates.) also the Monsters have Power Crystals behind them. But humans have no need for life supporting crystals.

    Attacking:
    Player:
    The player must attack the Monster’s Power Crystal.

    Monster:
    The monster must come in contact with the player.

    Spells:
    Player:
    You learn spells throughout the game. Pressing [] opens up a menu of
    ITEMS
    SPELLS
    ESCAPE
    NOTHING
    Choosing spells opens up the spell menu. Each spell has different accuracy and attacks all monsters.

    Monster:
    There is a small chance Monsters will use spells. Same human rules apply.

    Items:
    Player:
    Open the menu and select ITEMS. Then pick one. duh!

    Monster:
    Monsters can’t use items.

    Escape:
    Player:
    Select Escape from the menu. You will then have to go 1 minute without taking damage. (Opening the menu back up will replace Escape with Cancel Escape which cancels the whole thing.)

    Monster:
    Monsters can’t flee.

    Avoiding Damage:
    Player:
    Don’t come in contact with monsters. They will hurt you. Pressing O helps because it “sprints”

    Monster:
    Monster Crystals will automatically flee from you. PLUS when you attack one it moves away from you 2 steps.

      It sounds good. The way you describe it, it has the possibility of being too easy, but as always the details are what determine that. Also it sounds pretty original so go for it (I've never heard of something quite like it, but there are a ton of games I haven't played so). Just make sure that some of the enemies are really fast, another good idea would be to have some of the monsters protect their crystal, if you haven't thought of this already, since from the description it seems like the monsters and crystals move seperately from each other. You might also consider giving some monsters ranged attacks, though this would be harder to implement, to make the battles a bit more interesting. Just make sure you change up the behavior of the monsters, so one strategy doesn't always work. Like maybe sometimes the player has to incapacitate the enemy to be able to get to it's crystal because it is guarding it all the time, things like that.

      But at any rate good luck with this, it sounds interesting.
