It appears that Vicarious Visions and Activision are going with the Civil War story arc, which is kind of sad in a way but from what I see on their website and in all the videos, it shows a lot of promise. And I was happy to see Captain America smack the crap out of Tony Stark
As I said, it takes the story from the more current civil war in the Marvel Universe between superheroes, as the Superhuman Registration Act had finally passed and moved for support by the Senate. Forcing superheroes Pro-Reg (such as Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic), and those against this that are Anti-Reg (like Captain America, and apparently Luke Cage). So there is kind of a split as far as things go. Although I am a bit disappointed that *** SPOILERS ***
the cliffhanger at end of the first game (with Galactus targeting Earth) is going to mean nothing I guess...
*** END SPOILERS ***
But anyway, I'm sure I'm gonna get at least one person to troll this thread because they can. Am I the only one that seems to be anticipating this game? ....Err....am I the only comic book nerd on this web community?

Well... It looks like it is a major ramp-up from the engine that was used in the original, as well as the X-Men Legends games. MUA let you grab weapons around and even use improvised weapons but it wasn't quite like Freedom Force. But I do like the idea of having Hulk or Thing on the team and seeing what they can do in the environment. From a screenshot, you may even be able to lift cars and throw em at enemy mobs (there is a screenshot with Thing doing this, I think, and I'm trying to find it).
