The trailer premiered at the Transformers movie and everybody started yelling and cheering when he took the hood off.

The movie will end with Aang kissing Katara and then the camera will pan over the ocean as a fire navy vessel hauls an iceberg out of the water with a boy trapped in the center; his face frozen in an unassuming and innocent smile.

I never watched the show but I'm interested in seeing this movie. Nobody at my theatre for Transformers said anything about Airbender and it was mostly little kids.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

              Re: Airbender, The Last Avatar

The last time I mentioned Airbender here I hated it.

Then I watched a few episodes and became involved in the story. Shyamalamadingdong gave an interview a while back that he wanted to do a big epic trilogy with a lot of philosophical musings, and he thought Avatar was a very good medium to present it, as his ideas were parallel to the questions Avatar asked of its viewers.

The show was really great for characters and just overall feel, but it was of course a kids' show and lacked any kind of subtlety whatsoever in storytelling and character development, so who knows what the hell the movie's gonna be like. I kinda think M. Night won't try for some kind of big twist ending for this, since it's in no way shape or form his idea.

This was just about the only movie this summer I was interested in seeing but wow the reviews are abysmal. I think I'll just wait for the DVD.

I've heard this is bad. Like, REALLY bad.

For giggles, I read Roger Ebert's review (0.5/4, lower than the three Twilight movies, if that says anything).

I've also heard that it was by far M. Night's worst movie yet. The Village, Lady in the Water, The Happening... apparently this has them beat in awfulness by miles.

                            *shudder*

I'd hold my breath on that, but still, I haven't seen a good review or viewer opinion yet.

8% on Rotten Tomatoes so far.
