    Submissions Forum Policy Clarification

When Valkysas said "The submissions forum is not for game discussion. that is left to the general forum, workshop forum, or a dedicated forum if the game's maker has requested one. starting next week, absolutely ANYTHING that is said in a submission forum topic that is not directly about the game will be grounds for us banning you from replying to topics in the submission forums." I was a little confused.

The two concepts appear to contradict each other. I know I must be misunderstanding, but it seems that the first bit says "do not discuss your game here" while the second bit says "do not discuss anything not directly related to your game here."

I do not want to cause any trouble, so I am asking here.

While I have someone's attention I'll use myself as an example. The first effort I uploaded had an error and the zip folder was empty. I uploaded another by replying to my own topic.

    Was this wrong?

Furthermore, I have noticed more downloads for the empty folder than the corrected one!

If I understood Valkysas' "Read" post in the Submissions forum correctly I should upload another as a new thread and request to have the entire old topic deleted if I wish to have the empty folder removed.

Have I interpreted the guidelines correctly?

I was going to send this in a private message, but I think others may benefit from reading this.

    Peace.

    MOO!

    Re: Submissions Forum Policy Clarification

replies in the submission forum should only be for people posting their opinions of the games, no back and forth discussion.

and yes, create a new topic with the new download in it, then we'll get rid of the old one.
