I have to deal with the odd pronunciation all the time playing Magic: The Gathering where they make up all manner of locales and odd words. The Japanese-themed set drove me insane with everyone butchering the pronunciations.

Here's how I pronounce some of these words.

Gaiden = Guy - den
Seifer = Sy - fur
Xenogears = Zee - no - gears
Mario = Marr - ee - oh(as opposed to Mary - oh)
Mana = Man - uh(as opposed to Mah - na)
Tidus = started out as "Tie-dus" but after finding out I trained myself to say "Tee-dus", as dumb as it sounds.

I don't remember any more.
