Re: Final Fantasy XIV
Some people have to work, you know? They stop having endless free time for personal projects, like RPG maker games.Salamander, you don't understand the Bush Forum. It's like Atlantis;
a once mighty empire that long ago disappeared beneath the waves.
I'm not one of those people that's content making endless re-hashes of other people's games, tacking on some cheesey art, and calling it a day. I'd want to develop something unique and fresh. That takes time. Right now all my time is devoted to other projects.
I do have plans for games, but none of them are for the RPG Maker series.
Back on topic: I might try it. Depends on my work schedule. If it's a huge time sink, like FFXI, then no. Also, no de-leveling kthx.Eat Smello.

All its got is a trailer and screenshots... from the trailer.
It'll have to be significantly different from XI to make me care about it.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV
God no.
Considering all the complaints about FFXI they heard over the years and how they've only recently started addressing them, I'm pretty skeptical that this will somehow end up any better.
After all the time I put into FFXI, when I look back on it, the only thing that was really ever any fun about the game was the people; I think in the end we all would have probably had just as good a time sitting around and playing ****ing yahoo scrabble.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV
The only thing fun to me was when I got on my semi-nude galka and went around towns dancing in front of serious high-level players. I even got some gil a few times for it..Originally posted by Karim View PostGod no.

Re: Final Fantasy XIV
I'm pretty on the fence about the game just like most of you guys. I don't want to get into another game that takes me away from pretty much all other games, or requires hours and hours of time to keep up.
From what I've read it's going to be more casual. Which I hope doesn't mean take away the need for parties to accomplish most things. I always felt like that made a nicer community then say WoW where you can do most things solo. You NEEDED to be a nice person in order to get anywhere in FFXI.
The other thing I saw is there won't be levels this time around. Should be interesting. Here's a link I found with some decent info.
