Mario Galaxy 2/New Super Mario Bros. (Wii)

I'm most excited about Mario Galaxy 2, and I didn't want to clutter the forum with two Mario topics when I'm sure one will do the trick, but I posted to talk about New Super Mario Bros. on the Wii. It looks neat, not a fan of 4 player co-op but whatever works. Here's the thing.

Finally. 18 years ago Super Mario World came out, the second and final game to include the Koopa Kids. One of those mario RPG games had sprites (Super Saga?) but they never were actually used in game and only visible by hacking in. This has been a long time coming, and I'm personally thrilled. Easily my favorite Mario characters and they have barely seen the light of day.

    Discuss.

(Edit: Wow, I have no idea what in the hell I'm talking about. They've apparantly been in a bunch of games that I'd forgotten about cause they don't matter. And they WERE in Superstar Saga, but they're sprites were unused in Super Princess Peach.

I balk at Nintendo's claim that New Super Mario Bros. Wii is using all of the Wii's processing power.

i was unaware of the phasing out of the koopa kids and the phasing in of the retarded koopa jr. or whoever he is. by the time i realized it was happening, it was already too late

this is the first i've heard they're coming back in a game. that's good

Uhhh... The Koopa Kids are in Super Star Saga. You fight them all. No hacking required.

They were all pushovers. I used a special addition that doubles the damage you give and take...and the rest is history.

Ditto. Is this game even gonna be worth playing solo?

Apparently, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the best thing since... well, Galaxy 1 but even better. 8 perfect score reviews so far.

Should I buy a Wii just for this game?

If you didn't buy a Wii for the first Super Mario Galaxy, why would you buy one specifically for this game?

Unless you were holding out for the black one~~

When even a review that's going out of it's way to be negative can't avoid the fact that the game is fun, I consider it a ringing endorsement.

Yahtzee reviews are like Adam Sandler movies. They were quaint at first, but do people even watch them anymore?
