Re: been out of the loop for a while

I wasn't gonna post in this topic after I first clicked on it, as it seems by looking at his sig (and by looking at his "No Halo or Gears" comment) that he's got a 360, and I really have no recommendations for that console.

BUT, I'm gonna continue my crusade of recommending Sacred 2 (I have it for the PS3, but it is out for the 360). If you're into fantasy hack 'n slash/action RPGs ala Baldur's Gate or Diablo, but with an open world almost the size of Morrowind, I'd recommend picking this up. Two player on one console, 4 player co-op online, PvP if you are into that, and decently deep character customization. 5 difficulty levels, 2 campaigns, a level cap of 200, and an almost unlimited amount of weapons/armor that can be randomly dropped means that you'll get a TON of playtime out of this if you so choose.

I've got about 80 hours in the first 3 weeks (I've been slacking for the past week).

You should get Star Ocean 4 and make a blog/journal about how terrible of a game it is.

Castle Crashers on XBLA is pretty awesome. It's like TMNT The Arcade game, but with action rpg elements that is up to four players online.

You can never really go wrong with either Modern Warfare or World at War either.

Fable 2 is also a great amount of fun.

I don't know, what kind of games are you into man?

Fable 2 is sort of retarded.

I'd get Prince of Persia. :3

I think Mora's problem with Fable was that it didn't hold his hand as much as Prince of Persia's. Quite literally. Not even like Fable is a difficult game.

I know it's not really from last year, but if you want an action rpg, Infinite Undiscovery is one of the best available for the 360.
                    Currently playing-
Seiken Densetsu 3, Brain Lord, Terranigma (all SNES)

I'm pretty sure Lost Odyssey and The Last Remnant are both better choices than Infinite Undiscovery.

Why is it that the 360 is the new PS2 when it comes to JRPGs, but unlike the PS2, most of them are mediocre at best?

My problem with Fable is that the whole thing is about the illusion of freedom and choice when in reality the whole experience is very canned and easy to "see the strings" so to speak on the way the world operates. I mean, it's kinda fun to keep hitting the mark to bartend/chop wood/blacksmith and manipulate crowds by farting, but apart from that the game's a big mess.

I personally hated The Last Remnant's battle system so much that I went out and kicked a small dog.

                            Note to salamander:

Instead of typing in what you are currently playing in your sig, why not let the wonders of modern technology and the internet do all the work for you by making an account at this site?

I mean, it's basically one big long context sensitive hack of an adventure, that has no sense of consequence what so ever. If I didn't like a challenge, I'd go out and **** a fat retarded sleezy.
