Re: This software is legal?
Earlier pc versions of RPG Maker (95, 2000, 2003) were only released in Japan. MANY people illegaly pirated them to the US. A few legally imported it. So for a while there the English speaking pc RPG Maker community was pretty much solely pirates.
RPG Maker XP was the first pc entry to be legally released in America by Enterbrain but like most games there are still plenty of people who get it through illegal means. If you paid for it, you're legal so tell those know-it-alls to stuff it.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 06-07-2009, 12:53 PM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Re: This software is legal?
Yeah I know about the previous versions being illegal, and even talking about it here got you in trouble but I'm just surprised to find out that this is legal software and those plebes on "yaptube" don't know what they are talking about.------------
Guan Yu: "Is your lord Cao Cao still alive?"
Xiahou Dun: "He says he can't die until you do!"

Re: This software is legal?
Oh and there a huge difference in the illegal and legal versions of XP Especially if you come across a game called Postality Knights Enhanced Edition. (It's illegal). Also scripts that were made with the illegal version will not work due to how the official version RGSS is different from them.Last edited by RPG Learner; 09-17-2009, 07:34 PM.There is one thing that pretty much disturbes me in an SRPG....
