    Steam won't load! (msvcrt.dll) >:(

Both Skype and Steam give me the same error. msvcrt.dll is causing it. This technically isn't a video game question cause it's PC errors, but how do I fix this? Just spent the last 3 hours googling it for every possible fix I can think of to no avail. I figured I'm not going to find this info on google, so I'd try here.

It's CWINDOWS\System32\msvcrt.dll and it's file version 7.0.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) according to properties and 335 kb. I'm also running Windows XP Pro SP2.

I can't replace it with another file (Access disk yadda yadda), I can't delete it, I tried to run CCleaner to fix my registry and it doesn't list it. Appartantly some programs can both try to interact with a particular dll file which causes issues? Which is funny, cause so far only Skype/Steam are doing this.

Any help at all would be appreciated. Not being able to play Team Fortress 2 is a terrible, terrible problem.
