I bought it last night. I didn't see any topics about it. The game didn't age well and definitely needs to be remade, but for $10 I figured why not buy it.

I was thinking about whether or not I should buy it again. But I don't feel that it needs to be remade, they milked FF7 so much it's not even funny anymore. Too many sequels and spin offs, they should just keep going forward.

If they did have any announcements for a PS3 remake, I'm positive they would have said something by now, especially for E3. It's been a long time since they showed off the tech demo in action.

FFVII definitely needs to be remade or at least edited. Here are my reasons for thinking so:

1.) There is no analog control yet it is a 3D game. (The game pre-dates analog controls but still)

2.) The resolution of the game looks completely terrible on anything other than an old ugly TV.

3.) There are different models used for everything. (Different models for FMV, Battle, and Field). That makes the game look extremely inconsistent.

I know FFVII will be remade one day. Maybe not soon, but Square remakes everything eventually. This game needs to be redone or at least touched up more than any other game in the series in my opinion.

I own the PS1 game so unless I want to have FFVII on my PSP then I don't see the point.

Doubt it. More than likely a straight port of the original PS1 version.

I was also hoping that Resident Evil Director's cut would include the stuff that was still edited out of the NA version, but people say it remains edited.

Capcom has yet to include the original uncut intro of Resident Evil in any release. I don't think the Japanese versions have it either. The only place to see it originally was on their webpage and I'm pretty sure youtube has it.

There's nothing different except they show the severed hand the black dude picks up and his death is bloodier.

I know it's only a few things, but I would much rather have a version that's not censored. Mainly the live action FMVs. Severed hand, zombie dogs getting shot in the face, half eaten face from the first zombie encounter, and even Chris smoking a cigarette. Maybe more, i dunno.

eh, just play the gamecube version if it bugs you. kenneth is still twitching when you find him in there.

I downloaded RE1 and FF7. I really dislike FF7, but maybe I'll like it more portable, since I prefer portable games over console games.

and i had $20 sitting in my PSN wallet and was like "eh, why not". my 16GB Memory stick will be here wednesday, and then I shall see if I still really hate FF7.

I'm pretty sure the actor they got to play the dude with the bandanna in the intro was black or at least a relatively dark skinned man.

Then again I'm going off of memories from the last time I saw the intro which was RE DS in 2006.
