    The new Batman & Robin

So what do you guys think of the upcoming new Dynamic Duo? For those who haven't been following the comics...
    *** SPOILERS ***
At the conclusion of Final Crisis Darkseid cursed Batman to the death that is life and Gotham was left without its Dark Knight. So there was a "Battle for the Cowl" which resulted in Dick Grayson (original Robin/Nightwing) to take over the role of Batman with Damian Wayne (Bruce's son with Talia Al Ghul) as his Robin.
    *** END SPOILERS ***

Is it just not possible to make Robin as a character NOT look gay?

Well, yeah. They're not crazy enough to think this is a permanent change. It's mainly Morrison's oppotunity to do Batman in a different tone that would've been too out of character for Bruce. They even made sure to show that Bruce is still out there somewhere but also make it clear it'll take some doing to get him back.

Yeah, I mean, who really cares if none of this is going to stick? It's this sort of lack of consequences that makes comics sort of ridiculous and pointless to get into unless you're a very hardcore fan.

Tim Drake is one of the best characters in the entire DCU, if not all of comics. he was the first character to ever discover (not be told, or shown) that Batman is Bruce Wayne. he's great. so hush.

And they're trying to do the same thing with comic book movies with rebooting everything. Hasn't every Punisher movie rebooted from the last?

That's usually because studios do those movies until they run into the ground and no one will pay to see a sequel to a movie they reviled, so they just chuck everything out the window and start from scratch. Would you have really preferred if Batman Begins had been a follow-up to Batman & Robin?

It's one thing when a franchise dies and they start over with a new version. It's another when a movie flops and they immediately start working on a reboot.
