The long awaited details. So anyway, the title is so called because of terrible events after the Magenta Corp. conglomerate( a company that bought out Wal-Mart)falls after the VP Nihil assassinates the P Regent, and Regent's son ????? murders Nihil. Yeah, imagine that happening to a company that rules the world. You play as Nihil's grandson Zanu, Zanu's boss Forger, and the mayor's smartass messenger Tran. As soon as I get my own forum, more detailed info will be given.
Battle Systems--
I'm implementing the SAP Battle System for a few battles.
I made a Limit Break System that allows you to only use certain moves with the M-Disc at a certain time of day.
No random battles. If you want a battle, go to the Coliseum or the ? points on the field.
An extensive Weapon Upgrade System a la Monster Hunter.
Chemical M's-- Very Powerful items with a tie to the stories and Weapon Upgrades.
An Element System--Fire<-->Ice,Thunder<-->Earth,Holy<-->Shade.
250+ Items!
A tourney system for the Coliseum.
An epic story with too much revenging for one game!(Yes, the revenging was intentional.)
10 Player Characters and a Summon System.

The 8 Characters
Zane-
Occupation-Miner
He's spent his life working in the mines and he's longing for adventure. It comes to him when he digs up an M-Disc, a mysterious object, and the Destiny Pillars, Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos.(These determine major events in the game.)
Forger-
Occupation-Zane's Boss
He's a blowhard. But he's also very physically strong, and wise in the ways of the world.
Terrell-
Occupation-Comedian/Magician
He's very skilled at both entertaining and casting spells on people.His behavior gets him in trouble with the party, but he does his part well.
Freya-
Occupation-Forger's girlfriend/Summoner
She can summon, just like Yuna. She's also pretty, just like Yuna. And she can Holy Yunalesca's ass, just like Yuna. But she's not Yuna.
Libra Dragon-
Occupation-Guardian of the Earth Temple
He guards the Earth Temple, where Freya gets the Sequoia summon.
Skilled in both magic and physical attacks, but defends even better.
Axolotl-
Occupation-One of the 3 remaining Frogmen (better name when I come up with one)
He is a green frog. He's also very green. All-around battle skills, but slightly better in magic.
Yvonne-
Occupation-Freelancer
Her parents were killed by an evil organization, and practised with the Great Sword all her life.
Selig-
Occupation-Assassin
Normally assassins use daggers. Selig uses an bow & arrow to smite his foes from afar. His skills and magic inflict status conditions on enemies, and can also expose weaknesses to various attacks.
Garuda-
Occupation-A Reincarnate.
Reincarnates are conglomerations of powerful souls formed by the powers of radioactivity. Garuda uses the highest level spells and is immune to damage because of his ethereal nature. He's not invincible, however, as he can easily be damaged when his MP is low.

So are the battles you do enter into the standard ones for the game? Just curious.

P.s. It seems we both have taken a liking to the character name Zane!

Yes, the battles you enter are standard for the game. The battles vs. Core implement SAP Battle System. Zane is also a really cool name.

So about what time is Fall of the Kings set in? Medieval? Future?

I'm really wanting to play it, so please don't give up on it!

A post-apocalyptic future setting. People are just rediscovering modern tech after WW3. I'll put WW3 in a prequel sometime!

The Story-
The game starts as Zane goes to the Libra Stone & Gem Quarry after an earthquake. You're not even near a fault line! On his way to work, Zane is attacked by a group of Necroids, cadavers ressurected by the power of radioactive fallout. As you make your way to the quarry, Forger is fighting the Necroids. When Zane and Forger drive away the Necroids, they find a piece of cloth withe the the organization CORE's logo. And then, there's an atomic bomb explosion...
