Classic NES-style controls confirmed for Punch-Out!!!

According to Nintendo of America's press site, the alternate control scheme has the same button layout as the NES controller, using the D-pad to dodge, with the 1 and 2 buttons used to throw punches.

That's a good thing? Even Mario added freaking buttons.

Nevertheless, I'll definitely rent it, and the animation is quite good (much better then Nintendo usually cranks out) which makes me happy.

EDIT: Punch-Out will also have a control option that lets you use the Balance Board to dodge.
