    Smells, Tastes, Sounds, Memories.

    • Everytime I smell, or drink Red Bull I think of high school/college and the first time I got drunk.
    • Whenever I smell chlorine I think of my childhood when my grandparents took us on trips and we spent a lot of time in hotels and in the pool.
    • The song "Ms. Jones You've Got a Lovely Daughter" and many different Billy Joel songs also reminds of me the vacations I used to go on when I was younger. They
    • Clearly Canadian Raspberry-flavored Sparkling Water reminds me of the intro movie to Wild Arms 2.
    • The smell of vanilla incenese reminds me of playing Silent Hill 2, 3, and 4. Mostly 3. I had a ritual where I'd only play those games in the middle of the night, window open, lights out, candles and incense lit.
    • Pot smoke takes me back to the first party I ever went to, back when I first didn't know what the smell was. I can't help but feeling dirty whenever I smell that smell. I really don't like it, at all.
    • Aussie brand hairspray reminds me of the first girl I ever poked.
    • The Final Fantasy 7 victory fanfare takes me back to 6th grade, immediately.
    • StarKiss Bars and Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen immediately remind me of the time I had my appendix taken out, and when my brothers friend for no reason at all bought me a whole case of them.

I've got more, I'm sure, but that's all I can remember for now.

I've got some sensory-memory connections that make less sense than yours!

-Any type of beanbag makes me think of Megaman Legends
-Jalapenos makes me remember a long binge month of just .hack//GU games (I would eat a jalapeno baconator from Wendy's almost everyday. Sadly, they are discontinued
-Autumn weather makes the shadow of the colossus intro song play in my head.
-Peppermints make me think of Grandia 2 for some reason
-Anytime I smell lavendar, I think of FF10
-Cold weather makes me reminisce about playing different dynasty warrior games in the winter with no heat.
    Currently playing-
Seiken Densetsu 3, Brain Lord, Terranigma (all SNES)

I have a lot of memories like that associated with video games.

The Super Bowl always makes me want to play Shadowrun for the SNES. The first time I played it was when my friend brought it over on a Super Bowl Sunday and we sat and played it all day.

Red Bull and Jagermeister both make me think of GTA4. The day that game came out my friends and I spent the day playing it and doing Jagerbombs. It was probably the first time I'd had one.

Summer makes me want to play Earthbound. Also, the song Autumn Wake by Early Day Miners reminds me of playing that game because I was listening to that album repeatedly during one of my playthroughs of it.

It's kind of funny, but Only In Dreams by Weezer makes me think of UT2k3 because I guess I was listening to the Blue Album a lot while I was playing it.

        * anything from Prodigy's "Fat Of The Land" reminds me of Final Fantasy VII cuz that's what I was listening to while leveling up.

Peir 1's Ocean home fragerance spray reminds me of my old apartment and the time I spent there, as I used it there.

The taste of jager reminds me of the first time I tried it. We had 4 rounds of shots of it at the bar and paid for nothing. Good times.

The smell of magnolias reminds me of my grandmother. They bloomed all around her house when I was a kid.

          Videogame related:

Stench of rubbing alcohol- trying to get old NES games to work.
Tabasco: FFXI. At the same time as playing that I had this period where I wanted to raise my tolerance for hot food, so I lathered everything I could in it. Helped for everything but the stuff thats TRULY spicey, the stuff that comes out of the midwest and latin america.

a few of us do. I would still be playing were I able to afford it, but you can find discussion about it over here: http://pavilionboards.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=97

A few obvious sensory-memory things are:

              - a certain kind of chapstick that Kirin uses. Makes me think of her.

              - Taste of turkey hotdogs reminds me of home. Also home-made burgers.

              - cold showers remind me of going to the pool.
              ...and that's why.

I had hard-boiled eggs this morning. Whenever I have them I'm reminded of the scene in Who Framed Roger Rabbit where Eddie shoves the egg into the guy's mouth after he gets all mad at him.

                I DON'T WORK FOR TOONS.

A certain kind of aftershave reminds me of my dad.

Whenever I smell leather, I think of my brief stint with leathercrafting as a kid.

Whenever I smell cow manure, I think of going to the rodeo with my elementary school class.
