...is now on the Virtual console! Yippee skippy! It'll be interesting to see how well this emulates on the Wii since it required the RAM cart and if I recall correctly, the Zelda collection disc version was buggy because of it...

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Zelda collection disc didnt have an N64 in chip-form on it like the Wii does for all the supported nintendo consoles (which is why the games play exactly the same, slowdown, flicker and all that stuff). The only change I know they made to the N64 bit was to make the graphics a bit sharper.
What it all comes down to is if the N64 chipthing was ever designed to work with the RAM cart in the first place. It wasnt made to support rumble, so who knows with the RAM cart.
Someone download it and tell us.
I have Majora's Mask, but I havent played it much. it's repetitive, and the blurry N64 graphics are an annoyance. I might give this a try.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Yes, it did have a warning telling you about possible problems while playing the game that would not be caused because of your disc but because of the emulation of the original cart. Blah blah blah.
And I'm telling you, that I played that entire game (completed every sidequest and found every heart container too) and didn't notice any problems whatsoever.
EDIT: I recall slight lag in South Clock Town, but it didn't kill the experience or anything.Last edited by Toaster; 05-18-2009, 03:08 PM.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Majora's Mask was... different. I liked the idea but the execution was way too repetitive. Definitely my favorite Zelda in terms of atmosphere and story telling. The whole idea of a killer moon with a devious face on it crashing into the planet in three days was pretty cool. It reminded me of a twisted faery tale how Link could become creatures by wearing their faces.
