Started last week with R-Type Delta and Bowling (simple bowling game from their budget "A1 Games" label), and this week they released King of Fighters '99.

This is pretty much backwards order from their original release. meaning if they keep this up, we could be seeing a re-release of RPG Maker 1 fairly soon.

I know many people who have PSPs have probably already ripped RPG Maker 1 if they had any interest of having it portable, but if RPG Maker 1 is actually released in the Playstation Store, I ask that you purchase it anyways. it would only be $5.99, and you'd be supporting a company that has given us a LOT in the past, and hopefully throw enough money their way that they'd consider continuing the series. even without a new installment in japan. How?

Me and Ixzion showed them the articles I wrote about RPG Tsukuru 4. and we showed them the reactions to the articles, but never heard anything beyond "yeah, I see". they're aware of the demand. but money speaks louder than words. so if RPG Maker 1 goes up on the PSN, speak up.

That would be awesome, now I don't have to open the game case, take out the disc, insert it into the PS3 and play. Now I can just select it from the XMB! NEATO! WHOOO! YAY! WHOOO! I'm very lazy....

I'd be really cool if it were released, to then convert all the games into separate PS3 Virtual Memory Card Folders and having an area on the site where you could easily download all those games to your PS3 hard drive.

No memory card swapping. No more DexDrive. No more hassle.

I kind of doubt it would be released, but if it were, I'd instantly buy it just to support the idea and to be able to play games like [radiant darkness] all over again.

EDIT: Why is there a dumb smiley on my post?

cuz ur dumb

I'd easily shell out six bucks for it, even though I still have my original copy.

It could really open up the the community to a new generation of aspiring jrpg developer goobs. :3

Definitely buying KoF :D

Also, it would be neat if they did release the RPG Makers at the PS Store. For me, those games were very hard to find in stores, so having it online would make it more accessible to people.

I've got my fingers crossed they release the two King's Field games + spinoff, it sells well, and some publisher brings over Demon's Souls.

I will comply!

I've been really hoping they release some of their PSOne games on the PSN.

I'll absolutely buy another copy. I've spent more time across my RPGM1 copies than any other game ever.

I'm very keen on giving Armored Core: Master of Arena a try if they release it. It came highly recommended to me by Dr. turkeypants up there. Does anyone else share this sentiment?

It would be great if downloads of RPGM 1 convinced them there was enough of a demand for RPGT 4.

If they are planning on putting RPGM 1 on the store, it would be good if they let people know there's dozens of user-made games out there already. Granted not every game here or on the Mag is good, there's plenty that were just slapped together any old way, but that happens with user made content, some stuff is great, and some of it sucks.

And I would very much like to see RPGT 4 eventually offered as a download if they're considering it. From what little you've showed of it, it looks like a much more flexible system than the original game.

So the Playstation store's PSone games use the same virtual memory cards that physical games do?

Could someone explain this to losers without a PS3?

All PS1 (digital or physical) and PS2 games can use virtual memory cards created on the PS3's hard drive.

It's not like having one giant memory card to rule them all, instead you make a type of folder that's dedicated to having a certain amount of memory like normal physical memory cards do individually.

You can also name the virtual memory cards, so it's easier to organize which cards you want to use for certain games.

From the XMB, you can set up which cards go in which memory card slot like a PS1 or PS2. Or if you're in the middle of a game already, pressing the PS button brings up the option to do the same thing.

So if you're making a game with RPG Maker 1, run out of room, you can quickly create a new memory card and have it placed in Slot 1 or Slot 2 and work from there.

except with the PSP, which doesnt use virtual memory cards. it reads the individual PSV save files (that are stored in the virtual memory card folders on the PS3) just the same as it does with PSP games, which are all in the same directory.

Just being able to play RPGM 1 without needing to swap disks is well worth the $6. I might just get back to making stuff then.

Wow, I was worried about Agetec since there hasn't been many new releases from them.

If RPGMaker comes to PS3 I would certainly pick it up.

They just released a chess game on WiiWare today.

They're still kicking along, but they've changed a lot since releasing Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. they've pretty much stuck exclusively to budget titles.
