That is so impractical. A woman would have to wear it all the time, because you never know when you could be raped.

I would think that the murder rate would increase in correlation with the rape rate if this became widespread. It said in the article that it could be a concern that the assailant would become more violent to the victim when he realizes his penis is stuck inside her.

And for that matter, if the man does not kill the woman, and they do seek medical help to get his penis removed, can you imagine the awkward situations that would arise? A would-be rapist is stuck with his penis inside of his victim, and they're just waiting patiently for medical help. I don't mean to make a joke of this, because it is not a laughing matter, but just think of the news reports.

I also think this would tend to traumatize girls more often than not, because you'll be freaked if you get raped in the first place, but if you have to wait around and continue to be violated while waiting for help, just... wow.

I think it's a nice effort and a nice idea, but the impending situations are unfeasible.

In the event of rape, the device folds itself around the rapist's penis, attaching to the skin with microscopic hooks. It is only when the rapist withdraws that he will realise the device is clamped around his penis.

He isn't stuck inside her.
