Klonoa 2 acts retarded on my 60GB PS3

When you go to a new area, go to different screen, etc. The game screen will go black for about 4-5 seconds while the game actually has the area already loaded--so it's like there's a delay between the system and the TV itself. I don't have this problem with any other game.



How annoying.

Actually, it is your TV. The PS3 occasionally has this problem with TV's that are not 100% compliant with the HD regulations or something that are out there. It is an issue with the handshaking between the PS3 and your TV.

I even have something similar happen when my TV switches resolutions depending upon wether the game is 1080i or 720p. There is a short 1 or 2 seconds of static while the PS3 and the TV do the handshake again, which brings the screen back up. But it doesnt affect games.

I doubt it is the HDMI cable, there is no difference between the cheap ones and the expensive ones. But you can always try.

Eh, well, I haven't had this problem with any other game. So, I blame it all on Klonoa.

It happens to almost all of my other games when I first start them (only if they are PSone or PS2)--but never to a game when I am playing it or when it is loading a new area.

klonoa 2 doesnt do that for me. gotta be tv. my hdmi cable was 2 bucks on amazon.
