Not to be confused with the Six Flags Tony Hawk ride, Tony Hawk: RIDE (http://www.thride.com/) is the next TH video game coming to 360, PS3, and Wii featuring the above pictured skateboard peripheral. Check out the latest episode of GameTrailers TV (http://www.gametrailers.com/show/gametrailers-tv) for footage and info. Unlike skate It with the Wii Balance Board you don't just lean, you actually tilt, lift, and spin this board on the floor and it has sensors to sense when you grab the side etc.

Meh, if they want the true skater experience they should include a handrail that will smash your balls if you miss a grind.

The Tony Hawk company is getting worse than those companies that release a new game on every single platform for the release of every new CG movie.

It seems there's a new bi-annual Tony Hawk game always popping up...I stopped playing them with the fifth one.

Salamander, this one is from a new developer, actually the guys who made Fight Night Rd. 3...so who knows?

I'd buy it just for the skateboard peripheral

GameStop is now taking pre-orders and has listed the game at $119.99. So apparently the board doubles the price of the game.

It's made by a different company Kire? How odd...Didn't Neversoft always handle the game franchise till now? It'll be interesting to see what the new developer will do with it.

The Tony Hawk company is getting worse than those companies that release a new game on every single platform...yadda yadda.

Didn't Neversoft always handle the game franchise till now?

GH...'nuff said.

Also, didn't EA Chicago make Fight Night Round 3? I thought that studio was disbanded.

Big accessories with games are bugging me now. First instruments, now skateboards.

See my above comment.

But, yeah...first thing I thought when I saw the first post in this thread was, "Geez, Activision really knows how to milk a franchise dry by requiring expensive peripherals, don't they?"

I miss the days of Pitfall when the name Activision meant games made for gamers, not games made for analysts and executives.
