I bought this a few weeks back, seeming as I loved The 2nd Runner so much.

It's definetly one of those games that the sequel is so much better than the original. But it's not horrible.

i really liked the story of ZOE as a whole because it was atypical of what you'd expect from a video game. the hero is a little chicken **** who's reluctant to save his colony, slowly develops a crush on jehuty, and then gets kicked in the balls throughout the entire story accumulating up to the climax where it's revealed jehuty's mission is a suicide run... which he learns after his girlfriend is shot in the back.

i'm hard pressed to think of a character that was a punching bag throughout the entire story.

oh yeah, the virus portion of the game is awful but thankfully doesn't last too long.

I felt bad seeing her die, if you watch Idolo it goes alot into her background, and how she is the way she is.

Plus i think its safe to discuss spoilers, the game is what? 10 years old and everyones played ZOE2 in here.

I've wanted to play it again because of everything that Marcus just said. I think the story is much stronger than in ZOE2. But as a game? The Second Runner is the real deal.

Never explicitly, but during your Vic Viper battle, and then shortly before Auumaan her absence is implied.

I remember reading in OPM once, when ZOE was still in the works, how it was gonna be like the Legend of Zelda of giant robot games - being able to go explore areas and all.

It turned out being way different than I imagined it would be.

I actually loved ZOE. While some people bought the game for the MGS2 demo, i bought ZOE for ZOE, and while it was short, i enjoyed the gameplay.

Its too bad that i have not finished ZOE2 yet. I know its the better game, but my collection got so big by the time it came out, it didnt keep my attention long enough i guess.

I'm thinking about doing another liquidation again, especially since i live literally a stones throw from the post office. Leave my driveway, turn right, and right again, and i am at the post office.
