I am no longer banking with Wells Fargo. I should've stopped banking with them a loooong time ago, but it's simply more convinient to take a fist up the ass, than transferring all bills and deposits over to another bank.
But after this past week I am done.
No longer than a week ago, I was here at work checking my account balance online. My Playonline bill and an energy drink bring me to 17 dollars overdrawn. I can't take off from work on a saturday to fix my balance. So monday morning I put in twenty dollars to get my account above balance just to last me until pay day the next day.
Then a few hours later, I check my account again to see that I'm once again under, because they charged me a ****ing overdraft fee for 35 dollars. I know thats no surprise, and happens often to poeple, but when I have a piece of paper saying I'm balanced, then few hours later they finally charge an overdraft fee, complete crap.
So the next day I go to the main branch in my town to see if they can reverse the fee. I've come to find that I am in fact now 73 dollars overdrawn.
They charged me another overdraft fee, because I had two transactions that overdrew me. My 15 dollar playonline bill, and my two dollar energy soda. Thats right, 35 bucks for a ****ing soft drink. And a five dollar perpetuating fee that they charge daily until you are back and balanced.
While shocked, I remained calm and polite, speaking with the manager of all the branches to see if it can be reversed. He starts spitting that it isn't his problem. And I should be more responsible.
I argued that if they reversed those stupid fees, I'm not even overdrawn. I've been a good customer for years now, and this month my employer messed up on my hours, and I had to get a new pair of glasses that cost me 500 dollars. So I was riding thin.
This rude ass douche tells me that it aint his problem, and I say, to him "look man, I'm a good customer, I don't even know why we are having a problem here." He points to the computer screen tells me that obviously I am not a good customer. 73 overdrawn purely of BS overdraft fees. Yeah, IM A BAD CUSTOMER.
So I told him that if he aint even willing to empathize with his customers so they can get back on track and continue to do business with them, that he can go **** himself.
So I call the 800 number and they reverse 40 dollars of the fees surprisingly no problem. I go back and deposit a couple of hundred dollars, because I just don't want to go through the hassle of transferring banks.
Theeen this morning rolled around and my debit card declined. I call up the 800 number and I find out they closed my account without my authorization. But they told me over the phone that I did authorize it, which is complete ****. And that I can simply go to the nearest branch and they'll reissue me a new account #, card, etc.
So really, I'm done. If I have to go through the trouble of rerouting my bills to a new card, etc. I might as well switch to a new bank. Because I'm sick of this ****.
So does anybody know of any good nation wide banks that don't completely suck ass? I know that any will pretty much fist you repeatedly, but maybe I can find one with nice, courteous, fists that are firmly clenched and lubed.
