CHALLENGE~

What's the hardest self-imposed challenge you've done in a video game? Maybe it's a speed-run or a level 1 playthrough or whatever. I'm just curious.

Like right now I'm playing through Symphony of the Night right now with no Relics, Armor, Weapons, Accessories, or Sub-Weapons.

It's hell.

Zen challenge in NetHack. Start the game with a blindfold and play through the entire thing blinded (except for the handful of moments where you need to see to win the game).

Because the game relies on sight so much, it's pretty damn near impossible.

I've beaten a few of the Devil May Cries on Dante Must Die, that's a challenge. I also beat Gears of War on insane in a sitting.

Back when Castlevania Portrait of Ruin came out, I did an "Old school" run, where I was only allowed to use the Vampire Killer, no armor, and I could only use sub weapons from the original Castlevania games.

I'm pretty sure I beat both God of Wars on the hardest difficulty.

I also did a pretty good speedrun of RE: Code Veronica X.

Fastest I beat Resident Evil 2 was 2 and a half hours.

Beat Rocket Knight Adventure real quick on... easy... |:3

Tried getting all the dog tags in the Tanker in MGS2 once... Thinkin' I'll try that again soooooon maybe.

Hell, finishing one game a decade would be a challenge.

Beating all difficulties of Devil May Cry 3. DAMN YOU DANTE MUST DIE MODE!

Beating Silent Hill on the highest difficulty in 1hr 30min.

Tried getting all the dog tags in the Tanker in MGS2 once... Thinkin' I'll try that again soooooon maybe.
Impossible. I've been trying that for years. :(

Not much of a challenge because both were really easy

Beat MGS3 my first playthrough with no kills, even tranq'd the bosses.

Beat all the missions in Fallout 3 on Very Hard by specializing in hand-to-hand combat.

Call of duty 4. This one match I kept getting shot from behind, so the next match i vowed to walk backwards the whole time (I finished 3rd out of 6)

Beating Xenosaga Episode II. I somehow managed to survive the annoying everything and the unneededly complex combat system without trying to put a bullet in my head.

Good catch. I was in fact thinking the plant. Haven't even tried the tanker because it is too short to bother with.
