I saw this w/ a friend and I really enjoyed it, even moreso than Monsters vs. Aliens (which ended up disappointing me from its groaner moments and cookiecutterness). I know it doesn't have that Pixar aftertaste and it was a 3D family movie with...balls. I dunno, it forced the characters to make hard decisions that didn't have clear cut solutions, and I really appreciated that realistic edge to it...plus none of the characters overly annoyed me (and David Cross was great, as usual).
Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's the best thing ever, but if you want to see a good flick that's bombing in the box office because it doesn't have that cutesy widespread appeal, check it out.
