Probably not, no. Last I checked, the only people that died (that were older than a 2 years) all lived in Mexico. Sure, people here are getting sick but they're also getting over it.
The media calling it a "pandemic" is a load of bull.

Yeah I trust the media for almost all of my news and they say its a big deal, I need you guys to calm me down!

Sure, be worried, just dont be stupid.
Dont rush off to the hospital at the first minor cough, even if you do get a cough, sore throat, fever, etc, doesnt mean you have swine flu. Also, having H1N1 isnt a death sentence or anything, it is just the flu pure and simple. 30k-50k people die from the regular flu (A1) every year, so this isnt some new powerful strain, it is just a strain that isnt very common, so it is a big deal, and it is more contagious than the regular flu.
Wash your hands, cough into your sleeve, take precautions, and you will be fine.
And the reason it is being called a "pandemic" now, is because it has met all of the required international criteria to be considered a pandemic. I dont know the exacts, but apparently, more than one person, in 3 or 4 countries on multiple continents, has to have a confirmed person-to-person contact case of the disease.
I heard something, but i'm not sure how accurate it is, where as little as 50 people could be sick and it officially be considered a "pandemic", it just depends upon where those people are located.Vita, 3DS, PSP, PS3, PC, WiiU, Wii & 360

I can understand your worry american Hero since your mom works in the hospital. I would be paranoid anytime something contagious was going around then.
I am not personally worried, BUT the number of cases in Canada jumped overnight to 84.... we were at 6 in midweek.
That's kind of alarming

My roommate was complaining about his throat being sore Friday! Does living at a college campus put me at a higher risk of getting infected?
