    Some input on my Characters

I'm trying to make distinctive looking characters for Sword of Vengeance. A lot has changed since I first posted pictures of the Characters. So here are the updated pictures of them. Any advice is greatly apperciated.

    The following are party members.

This is Terra. She is the main character of the story. At the beginning she is just a barmaid living on the island of Rune. However the conflict between the Seekers and Avengers forces her to draw a cursed sword and thus starts her journey to free herself from it.

Chen Zen is a monk who has sworn his life to keep the Sword of Vengeance protected. He decides to journey with Terra because he can't bring himself to kill her, despite his oath to the Sword.

Riven was a servant of Mage Cain. Although he dislikes humans, he still journeys with Terra. Not much is known about his past and due to his attitude no one reallly questions him.

Katzu is a strange young man. He sees the world as right and wrong. There is no inbetween with him. If he sees an injustice he is going to jump right in and fix it. Although he lacks greatly in his fighting skills and that tends to get the group in trouble.

Strifer is Kaztu's guardian. No one is for certain why a hired sword would take on such a naive and stuck up boy as his apprentice. Lengend has it that if you see Strifer you are already dead.

Eclipse is an elf that was captured by Strodham the bandit. She has been his servant ever since. Being under his rule has turned her blood cold with thoughts of murder.

    Here are the main villians.

Strodham is the leader of a band of bandits on the land of Twilight. Not much is known about his past. His looks and mannerisms make him a man to be feared by all.

Sierra use to live the high life. Being a daughter of a Lord she got everything she wanted. However she became bored with this. Her beauty and her attitude captured the attention of Strodham. She has been by his side ever since.

Mirage is an ninja. He is willing to do anything for the highest bidder. He has even been known to kill his employer when a higher bid came in on him.

I'm liking most of the characters--both the graphics and the descriptions. Chen Zen and especially Katzu look a little too plain for their roles, I think. Strodham looks absolutely badass--very nice. Terra's cute. It would be my style to add at least one feminine trait to Eclipse--I had her pegged as a man at first, but I'd also understand if that's what you were going for.

That sounds like a good set of characters, both hero and enemy. I don't know anything about their in-game characteristics, but their back stories sound like they could lend themselves well to a good story overall.

Lookin good! But the name "Mirage" sounds a bit too girly to me. No offense.

That is just a working name for him. I'm also considering naming him Hanta-Kira, which I believe is hunter killer in Japanese.

Chen Zen is a complicated character so it is in his personality to took plain. Looking back I can see what you mean about Katzu and Eclipse. Back to work on those two.

Thank god! I was hoping that Stodham looked intimidating. I went through 3 different creations for him. At one point he looked too much like Robin from Batman.

I find it hard to find a good character model for Eclipse. Plus I want each character to have a so called signature move to make the cutscenes more interesting. That is how I pick what models to use for my characters, by their special moves.

They all look pretty great, however,

Eclipse just looks kind of like a guy at first sight (maybe beause of the eyebrows?)

Sierra doesn't seem like a 'bad guy' really...What makes her so evil?

The rest are awesome; im suprised you can squeeze so much individuality out of the dumb RPGM2 character models!

Thanks. I'm working on fixing Eclipse's model. I'm thinking of changing her to the Princess model.

Sierra is Strodham's girlfriend and she is willing to do anything for him. She is even more dangerous because she is a Temptest. This gives her great power over men, who are not trainned in the Religous class.

It takes alot of work to get them to look like individuals. I spent many hours working on it. I generally try to pick a special move for each character. That is how I pick the character models. Then I play around with changing the colors. That can take sometime to get it right. If you want I have some notes on good colors for characters. I'll be more then happy to post them for you or anyone else who would like them

The model for Eclipse. Terra is on the left and Eclipse is on the right.
