    Teabagging party!

This has to be one of the biggest generational disconnects in a while. I'm sure you've all heard of the tea parties being held to protect Obama's future taxes er something, but people are being told to put tea bags on their rear view mirrors and are seriously talking about "tea bag parties" and "tea bagging."

I'm really at a loss for words.

What makes even less sense is why they're sending teabags in the mail to their politicians.

    FTA:
Local reports indicate that the practice of mailing actual tea bags to legislators has repeatedly raised security concerns, and sometimes forced the evacuation of congressional offices in anthrax-like scares.
    Talk about counter-productive.
    ...and that's why.

                Don't mess with Tex-ass.

Part of that involves not sending us anymore conservative carpetbaggers.

Yes, because protesting paying billions of dollars for unnecessary wars and welfare for the rich makes you a douchebag.

Um... they're "Tea Parties," Kire. As in "Boston Tea Party." I haven't seen "bag" being thrown around with as much gusto as you apparently have.

Where were all these people when Bush was spending billions on unnecessary wars and providing for welfare for the rich? If they were serious, then they would've started their little "protest" back in 2003, when Bush started his first unnecessary war.

When a Republican is in charge, any criticism is anti-american.

When a Democrat is in charge, any criticism is patriotism.

In all fairness, there were war protests 5-6 years ago. What percentage of the people that participated in those also participated in the protests yesterday is unknown.

However, even if we assume that all of the tax protesters are hypocrites, it doesn't take away from the argument they present or the legitimacy of the concerns they raise.
