That's the sound of the Metroid Team...

    ****ting their pants.

Night, a WiiWare game in development, offers a similar roll-around mechanic to Metroid's morph ball. Even has boost and spider-ball powerups. Maybe Nintendo might take heed and actually make more decent morph ball puzzles for Samus.
    ...and that's why.

    Looks decent. Nice Ico-y soundtrack.

Maybe Nintendo might actually make games again.

If they do make a Metroid hopefully it's with less puzzles.

The one without boring, ****ty game-stopping puzzles that make me want to stop playing.

            or

            Super Metroid 2.

I loved Prime's puzzles. They were simple enough if you just stopped and scanned everything, anyways. Practically solved themselves.

Some of Prime's puzzles were pretty :facepalm though.

I agree that the genre definitely needs more 2D action and less mind-numbing "innovation" in the form of switching between light/dark or fire/water/earth/wind/captain planet.

As far as the morph ball goes, though, I'm imagining entire labyrinths only accessible via ball with mind-bending puzzles. Because when you're a ball, what else is there but puzzles?

Yes, I definitely think less planet-switching and light/dark switching is called for.

                      The bouncing.

Yeah, I'm sure that the Metroid team is ****ting their pants because there's a game being released where you play as a ball.

                          Watch out Nintendo!!
