I used the weapon swapping glitch on one of those roman looking guys, and gave him a tonfa. I then gave him a skill that shot out fire. This made it look like he had a flame thrower. I hope this helps, since I've seen many people complaining about the lack of technology in this game(including myself).

I had forgotten that guns aren't included in RPGM3, I'll have to try that weapon swapping glitch for myself and see what I get
