My Cephadrome Isn't Black

I've killed like a thousand Cephadromes in the regular Monster Hunter. Hell I was in a video of killing a cephadrome with Deathslayer31 and Grayson which was great fun. I am now replaying Monster Hunter Freedom 2 agian and decided I'd enjoy it and just take my time through the game. I decided Cepahlos armor might look cool so I am fighting a Cephadrome and it's not a darker color it looks the same as any other Cephalos. Is this a MHF2 thing or is my game glitching?

I don't know it is kinda trippy something im used to killing in one hit having the moves of the leader. It really looked like a regular Cephalos.

I DID play some PSP Monster Hunter game for a few hours once, though.

armor is kinda lame for them and i always liked the jolly roger set it make you look like a pirate and it give great states (the good luck one and extra carve)
