    Music Midtown

I left for a good 4 to 5 days and told no one why I left or where I went( I know none of you cared anyways =p). Well, I tell you now. I went to Music Midtown in Atlanta. At this wonderfully ****ing awesome concert I saw over the course of 3 days(10th,11th,12th) all of these bands/performers live:

    Joan Jett And The Blackhearts
    The Pixies
    Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
    The Killers
    Interpol
    Keane
    The White Stripes
    4th And Dock
    a fir-ju well
    Biz Markie
    Bloc Party
    Tegan & Sara
    Coheed And Cambria
    Counting Crows
    Def Lepard
    Doug E. Fresh
    Slick Rick
    GuRu Fish
    Good Friday Experiment
    Louis XIV
    Public Enemy
    Rareform DJ Crew
    Red Letter Agent
    Young Capone
    Michael Tolcher
    She Wants Revenge
    The Features

Yes, most all of them were kick-ass. Devo creeped me out. I got autographed CDs of The Features and The Killers.

My 4th day I went to Little Five-Points in Decatur, there I went to Criminal Records and bought: Coldplay - X & Y, My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything, Soundgarden - Badmotorfinger, Air - Talkie Walkie, Hawthorne Heights - The Silence In Black And White, The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan, Stoned Imaculate - The Music Of The Doors, Madonna - Ray Of Light, Madonna - "Music", Modest Mouse - Everywhere and his nasty Parlour Tricks, Foo Fighters - There Is Nothing Left To Lose, Weezer - Maladroit, Modest Mouse - The Lonesome Crowded West, Nick Drake - Pink Moon, Daft Punk - Human Afterall, The Shins - Oh, Inverted World, Modest Mouse - Building Nothing Out Of Something, and Beck - Guervo.

I also went to the bar SweetLime and ate $1 Sushi(Lots of it) and drank smoothies at Arden Garden. I then bought a Buddy Christ bobble head for my car.

    I'm back, and I had a kick-ass time.

So, any of you go, or been to one before?

I'd like to see the Pixies.

That's about the only thing that looked interesting on that list.

I wouldn't see any of those bands/musicians for FREE, so I'm not going to pay heaps of money and stand out in the hot ****ing June Atlanta sun with smelly people and portipotties. I have a few friends who went however, but they actually liked the bands playing, so they enjoyed themselves.

actually I guess I would see Bloc Party. but that's it.

Yes yes, the hot sun, it rained. All 3 days. Smelly people? Yes. Portopotties? A few. Just because you want to be underground to be cool doesn't mean you have to bad-mouth everyone else's musical tastes. I listen to everything, even the cool indier-than-thou music. I also listen to Justin Timberlake. I don't come out and say stuff like: "Oh my God, you listen to them? I wouldn't even take it in the ass from Johnny Depp to listen to them! Psshaw, they're so last tuesday." Now if you'll excuse me I'll go write my emo kid poetry and talk to Bob about religion and leave you all alone again.

Def Leppard's drummer only has one arm.

              So... uh...

...DID THE WHITE STRIPES PLAY SEVEN NATION ARMY

Yes they did, along with their entire new album, Hardest Button To Button, Just Don't Know What To, No Faith In Medicine, and a slew of others. They rocked hard. They were by fa the best out of everyone I saw.

what the ****, little miss priss. I didn't bad mouth them. I said I didn't like them. I seem to recall a little thing called PERSONAL ****ING OPINION. **** you and the high horse you ride on. Jesus Christ. what a world we live in. "I don't like that band" means "I'm a music snob."

I'm a music snob, and everyone's band sucks but mine.

Josh, you come off as an elitest music snob.

Maybe you should try not being a nap.

because I don't like those bands? oh God, big wow.
it's not like I'm sitting here saying "those bands are stupid and you are stupid for liking them". all I said was I wouldn't have gone even for free. it's no different than if you said you didn't like buttsex with men, no one would call you a homophobe and narrowminded. just shut up. just because you've never heard of most of the stuff I listen to doesn't mean I'm a snob, it means you're UNINFORMED.

                          ...wait, nap?

I've gotta side with Josh on this one. He diddn't act like a music snob at all, he just said he'd rather not stand in a huge crowd of sweaty people and port-a-potties for an extended period of time.
