Sega Sequel Spectacular: Skies vs Shenmue vs Sonic
Re: Sega Sequel Spectacular: Skies vs Shenmue vs Sonic
I don't want a sequel to Skies, because I loved the original, even down to the way it ended, and to try and make a real sequel to it would ruin the awesome of it. But a spiritual successor to the IDEA of Skies? **** yeah. Valkyria Chronicles, as Magus just said.
I never finished Shenmue 2, but seeing the third one would be neat and probably compel me to finally go back and beat Shenmue 2. But seeing as how this one's never gonna happen, who cares.
Sonic. ****. Who doesn't want SEGA to pull its collective head out of its collective ****hole and make a good Sonic game. But I got used to kiddy Sonic games that are terrible in every way because they're cheap, iconic, and will sell regardless. So meh.

:facepalm
Allow me to be more specific. Games MADE or PUBLISHED by Sega that are actually well-known. I guess I could have gone with Space Harrier or Shining Force, but really, who would care about the former, and as for the latter, they may as well have gone the Sonic route with that series too.
Re: Sega Sequel Spectacular: Skies vs Shenmue vs Sonic
Bleh on Skies 2, I wouldn't mind seeing a Sonic Adventure game done right. I think they could even keep the bloated cast and pull it off with some clever ideas, perhaps. I really did like the idea of having six characters giving way to six unique styles of play and gameplay experiences. I guess it wasn't very appropriate for sonic but what the hell anything is better than what we get now.
Really though I want to know how f'ing Shenmue ends.
Re: Sega Sequel Spectacular: Skies vs Shenmue vs Sonic
I didn't enjoy Valkeria as much as Skies. However Skies is one of the few traditional JRPGs that I like, so I vote for Skies, never played Shenume and it's going to be years before we see a GOOD Sonic game, unless they Mega Man 9 it.
