What Oblivion mods would you suggest someone to play with? I haven't played much, so I only got Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple today, then did a quest or two in Bruma. Which means my level is low and I won't be able to take advantage of any high-level stuff added by a mod.

Re: Suggest some Oblivion Mods
Wow, I'm surprised no one has replied to this yet. Oblivion is my favorite game bar none. The thing is though, that I don't use Mod's because I like the game as it is. However, here are some good ones:Originally posted by Smarticus-Rex View PostWhat Oblivion mods would you suggest someone to play with? Re: Suggest some Oblivion Mods
Three mods you shouldn't even consider playing without:
Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (also called OOO). Pretty much makes Oblivion PLAYABLE. Fixes the terrible leveling system, adds actual AI to the monsters (so they do stuff like run away or warn others), adds a bunch more monsters (like black bears), there's a chance you'll find monsters or treasure way above or way below your level encouraging you to play dungeons more conservatively, and best of all items and spells upgrade with your level (I hated how you had to wait to do quests late game because a really powerful unique weapon at level 40 was crap at level 5).
Qarl's Texture Pack: it's like 1.2gb of better textures and allows the use of bloom and HDR.
Unofficial Oblivion Patch: I don't understand how PLAYERS find more bugs than the developers themselves, but this literally fixes hundreds of bugs.

Re: Suggest some Oblivion Mods
I have the third, and have seen references to the first (mostly as compatibility patches), and I have heard of Qarl and seen some of his other work.
Thanks marcus.
Because hundreds of players email the Unofficial Patch team to tell them of all the bugs they have seen. Fixing the bugs gets a lot easier when you have hundreds of people telling you where they all are.Originally posted by marcus View PostUnofficial Oblivion Patch: I don't understand how PLAYERS find more bugs than the developers themselves, but this literally fixes hundreds of bugs.
Yeah, I know, Beta Testers. But its still pretty easy to miss some of them. Also, Bethesda is obviously lazy.Last edited by Stormy; 03-31-2009, 06:50 PM.stodi no na ka cenba

Last time I checked, every major developer has contact information and most of them encourage you to email them about bugs and glitches.Because hundreds of players email the Unofficial Patch team to tell them of all the bugs they have seen. Either lazy or too busy counting their fat stacks of money. Also, Bethesda is obviously lazy.
