several users reported getting an error code displayed yesterday and early today, and that the pavilion would not load past that point.

well, thankfully ONE person (Crunk) decided that it'd be a good idea if I saw the error, so he sent it to me, allowing me to fix it.

at least, I think I fixed it.

to be sure, I need to know how many people were getting the error and how many of you are now error-free. it seems like it may have been a lot of you, since traffic jumped up pretty fast after I did the fix.

When I sent you the error, thats right about when it was happening to me. It didnt last very long before going back to normal. I dont know if you fixed it then or something else happened and it went back to normal on its own.

I didnt fix it until about an hour and a half ago.

but still, thanks for reporting the actual error, which none of the other 15 or so people saw fit to do.

I really don't know what happened to me yesterday. I tried to post, it told me I was banned with for "no specific reason" (or whatever it was that the default reason is) and that the ban would never lift.

It was around the time IRC gave Red Dragon back his negative rep, sans the reapers.

I was able to post again about 15 minutes later. I was able to go into my profile, send messages, and even edit old posts.

I blame IRC.

I wasn't in a sense locked out as I wasn't able to load the screen. It just wouldn't load.

As I PMed you yesterday (I would have made a post in the Tech Support forum, but I couldn't post, so I PMed instead), I had a problem (I did not have the authority to post because I was either a new member whose account had not been activated yet or I was trying to access a forum that was not allowed...it was the Free Forum for the record). I tried to post twice, it gave me an error message which I neglected to jot down, I sent the PM, and then I was able to post again, so I could not go back and obtain the weird error messages it was giving me. It did look similar (to the untrained eye) to the ones I get when trying to access tyhe chat, but without Valk's name being listed, as it is in the chat error messages.

I had absolutely no problems. Until I read this topic, then started getting errors immediately after.

I sent a pm to Valk about it. I got back into this topic by logging out and logging back in once I went into this topic.

This was my error message.

MRevelle83, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

EDIT: Also, when I can get into forums, the lists of topics is also strange. The envelopes on the far left aren't supposed to be replaced with text telling me how many posts I have in that topic, are they?

i just had it for the last 10 mins. ive send valk a report on the error so hopefuly it cleared itself now.

I am getting an error right now, but not sure whether it's related.

I get the following message on the Forum's main page, and none of the forums are listed. However, all other Pav functionality is fine, so I got into this topic using the "New Posts" page.

I got it this morning when trying to view Alzar's netflix topic. It said something about not being an authorized user, but I could view the neg rep debate topic fine. But it's working fine now.

I suggest we ban Toaster just to see if that clears up the situation.

Wave, it's cool that you posted the actual "real" error message, rather than just the "You do not have access to this page" or whatever.

Valk, I'm not sure if what Wave posted was EXACTLY what I got yesterday, in terms of all the values and all, but it was basically the same thing.
