    My Stupid iPod Crap Thing

I purchased my bitty 4 gig white iPod Nano in the summer of 2006. Back then it was shiny and new, and it worked fine, of course. I had it serviced in August 2008 before the extra care warranty I purchased ran out, and it got a new battery, a check up, etc. Last week, it wigged out and froze. I know it's getting old, and freezing happens periodically, so I went to reset it and it gives me this "Recovery mode, use itunes to restore" message. I brought it home, plugged it in, and restored it. My computer then was like "Hey, an iPod in recovery mode! Do you want to restore it?" Repeat process 12 times before it actually restored.

Thinking my problems were over, I started loading music onto it only to have it wig out again. I got an error message and was stuck with 114 songs. The iPod would play them, but it wouldn't let me put any more on in iTunes. Needless to say, hoping I could fix the problem I restored it again today, and now I can't even put one song into the damn thing on iTunes. What the hell is going on? Has anyone had the same problem? Can I even fix this?

Technically, I can have the funds to get a new one in three weeks, but me without my iPod is like an addict without crack. If you can help me, I shall reward you handsomely with a drawing or something.

    Thank you.

PS: Do not tell me to do that trick with the hold switch. The iPod was dropped at some point and the hold switch is half-submberged in the iPod's body. >_>
