Man, instead of letting the workers at a store in Canada unionize they just close the store, effectivly firing everybody for wanting to join a union. That's just cold-blooded.

This isn't the first time they've done this, in America or elsewhere.

Some more extreme cases where they were caught red-handedgiving support to or hiring mercenaries in foreign countries to kill union members and intimidate organizers exist.


Nor is this the only company with such practices. Thier whole goal is to maximize prices, minimize pay, minimize total employed, while maximizing the consumption of their shoddy Chinese-made products by those wealthy enough to afford them.




I think it would be awesome if the Union members would take over the store and the merchandise inside, and seize control of it. One-up the stingy execs and anal bean counters.

It would make quite a profund statement that Walmart could not ignore. Especially if their store would be set ablaze should the cops be called.

When you're a multi billion dollar industry, I don't think that one store is going to make a dent financially, even if they managed to completely destroy the store.

As far as any negative publicity this would generate it would be a black eye for sure but it would disapear just as fast as a black eye does.

Walmart sued visa and mastercard for dumb reasons, and as a result, caused visa and mastercard to raise their rates for all their clients, making my job a living hell for two months.
