When I went to see Coraline last night, the ticket taker pointed me into the theater with the bins for the 3D glasses just outside. I sat through all the previews, including Star Trek and Terminator Salvation, but then there was stuff for Drag Me To Hell and Sorority Row, and I was wondering why there was such racy stuff being preview before Coraline.

Turned out the ticket taker got me to walk into Kn0w1ng. So I left and went a door over to Coraline. I was close, though!

I'd probably be more willing to check this out if it didn't have all that horrible cgi disaster stuff in the trailer.

You want horrible CGI...watch Journey to the Center of the Earth...

While mildly entertaining, the CGI was absolutely HORRIBLE! I mean, come on, its been 15 years since the first Jurrasic Park and this didnt even look HALF as good with the "creature" encounters.

To be fair, Jurassic Park probably had a much bigger budget, a more accomplished effects team, and also used quite a bit of animatronics in addition to the CGI.

Watched Jurassic Park again resently and I'm amazed with how well it has aged. Those raptors still give me goosebumps.

As for the CGI in this movie, what I seen from the previews didn't look horrible, but yeah it looks mediocre. However, that is just fine because the movie looks mediocre. So it all fits.
