    Microsoft Points Scam

A fair warning to y'all. It appears there are some people on Xbox Live who are spamming out a website that claims to give you free MS points on your Gamertag. A user at GameFAQs made a topic about this that he received said spam.

This is more for laughs, as it would take a complete bonehead to fall for this. Nevertheless I'm sure we'll hear something on Yahoo! within the coming months about somebody who fell for it and will get 15 minutes of fame.

    Site:
    http://microhq.weebly.com/

Purported Gamertag of Perpetrator (according to GFaqs topic):
    ARRONP6L

    Extra Story:
I tried to play a ranked game of F.E.A.R. about a week ago. In the lobby I was greeted with a host who was lecturing everyone on the Freedom of Speech and Micro($)Soft taking that right away with the rules of Live. Then when he was done he kicked us all out.

Did you go to the website?

It asks you to give your Gamertag, Email address, and password. Meaning they would have access to stuff like, say... your credit cards you have linked to the account. Not to mention that they technically own/control your account now.

And if you look at the bottom, you can see it is a Weebly site. It's pretty much the same thing as Freewebs. It is a free website maker for anybody to use.

Bleh. I like the online gaming stuff that won't show you any stealable information if you have the password and account information to get in. My account for WoW was stolen, but I didn't have to worry about my credit card information or anything of the sort, not even my address or phone number, nor my email address, because it doesn't show you full information for any of it.

Xbox Live needs to take a cue from that if they keep your credit card information viewable to the full extent.

LOL!!! For some reason, that just strikes me as downright ****ing hilarious. It's just so ridiculously unnecessary of him. "That'll show your for trying to play a ranked game!"
