It's seriously insane to think there's any potential for criminal pedophilia in gaming. If you're right near a kid, you're either going to do something or you're not, and communicating through Ping Pals isn't going to change anything. If you're not near a kid, I don't see what anyone can do in that case besides try to lure a kid to meet them, and there you're dealing with the same problem that comes with any form of distance-communication in the world.

What's funny is they keep targeting the only console maker that's actually going out of their way to limit unwanted communication (to the detriment of the gaming experience). Meanwhile actualcasesof predators targeting children are occurring on PSN and XBL. I think the worst thing I've heard of actually happening on a Wii or DS were those used copies of ACWW with the n-word.
