    ITT Guilty Gear

    So, there's this totally awesome fighting game I really enjoy playing, right? (The only one of the series I own is XX, but oh well) but I have this incredibly frustrating problem: Much as I am compelled by a strong desire to seek competition, I'm an antisocial nerd and no one I know has even heard of the game (without me showing it to them anyway, and neither of my grand total of two friends are any good at it) and the local arcade doesn't have any of the games.

    I've even gone to dustloop (the biggest site devoted to GG on the internet) only to find that my town contains about 0 GG players. (Well, at least there aren't any who post on dustloop)


    WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE!!?





    So anyway, I could at least go for some discussion... that is, if there's anyone to discuss with. Does anyone else here play Guilty Gear?

    (Wow, I just noticed this is like, my first post outside the playground in ages.)

            I own Guilty Gear, Guilty Gear X, GGX2, GG Isuka, GG Judgement, and hopefully I can get my hands on GGXX Accent Core Plus.

            Played the GG2 demo on the 360 but didn't like it, and Isuka made you press a button to turn around. I've yet to play the DS version.

            But I love the franchise.

              Sweet! I know, Isuka's kinda wacky like that. I hear the 3-4 player is pretty fun though...

              And yeah, I could also use a copy of AC+. I'd need to re-learn the timings to practice my lv2 Mist finer combos though. Then again, having access to Jackhound and Killer Joker would be worth it...

              Who do you use? I'm a Johnny fan myself, although I also play Venom and Millia with somewhat fair consistency...

                Sol, Ky, Chipp, Baiken, Millia, Justice are usually my first choices.

                It's kinda like Fatal Fury 2 where it has two sections you can hop between, so this way it'd be easier to focus on one opponent, while your partner fights the other opponent on his side of the stage. Or you could all be on the same section and go nuts. But the need to press a button to turn around basically kills any fun the game could have been. Plus the boss, Leopaldon is beyond cheap, and the turn around button doesn't make that fight any easier.

                  I've always played Sol and Slayer, but I've never considered myself very good considering I can't ever do a false roman cancel, or actually use a roman cancel effectively.

                    This is one of those games I'd really like to get better at but I'm in the same boat of knowing absolutely no one who plays it.

                    I stick with Dizzy, since she's an incredibly aggressive character and I normally like to play the paper tiger type of characters in fighting games.

                      The graphics are pretty but I couldn't get into it.

                      Baiken was cool though.
