Thinking of buying an Ipod Touch

Anyone who tells me to buy an iPhone instead will be shot on posting.

Think I should get an iPod Touch? I have a few questions about it, such as can you open multible tabs in its browser, and can you still download stuff to it even without iTunes software?

I'd like to by the 16Gb version, but I wish they had a 32Gb one instead.

Should I wait until after E3 in case Apple anounces another version? I don't want to be stuck paying for an older model.

Seriously!? We went into Toys R Us today to download that pokemon, and they only had the 8Gb and 16Gb versions.

Edit: Just checked Best Buy, and they have it for 400 smacks. Not sure if I want to spend that much.

i think the itouch has too much hidden power and apple does not let you use it all. and i myself am to lazy to fix the problem or just brake it and waste some money

Yes, and I think so but why would you not want to?

I love my touch. I've got the older model but it's been very good to me.

isn't it just a fancy interface with less hdd space than the regular ipod for the same price?

That has to be one of the stupidest ideas yet. That must be a huge pain in the ass to try typing with the ****ing wheel.

I'm pretty sure the ipod touch doesn't have a HDD. It's either flash memory or (most likely not) solid state memory.

It's a solid state drive. And the nice thing about the iPod Touch is that you can use it as a little netbook to surf the web when you find a hotspot and there's a lot of neat functions to it, like using it as a gaming platform. I love mine for the contacts program. I never have to use a stupid book like my parents were always pestering me to do!

Yeah, but can pretty much have a list of contacts on any cell phone, and in this day and age, who doesn't have one of those? Not the biggest selling feature, methinks.

Just saying what works for me, especially since typing anything into my cell phone is a pain. And I don't really use or carry my cell phone that much. My iPod is usually with me, though!

Nope, it's flash memory. You can check for yourself in case you don't believe me.

Here's another question I can't seem to find the answer for: Can you upload stuff using the iPod Touch? Such places as Rapid Share?
