Valk prepares to get his dork on. and cry dork tears.

Tomorrow at 8AM, the 3rd season premiere of Transformers Animated airs, showing 3 of the 12 episodes that will end the series.

    I sad.

This show was a transformer fan's dream come true. great characters, a nice dynamic art style totally different from everything that came before, decepticons who are actually a threat instead of causing a minor problem and running away at the end of the episode.

it's a show made by a real transformer fan too. Derrick Wyatt (best known for teen titans) has been a transformer fan for a loooooong time, and has been throwing wonderful bits of fanservice through the episodes.

    examples:

they cast Wierd Al as Wreck-Gar, and even had him reference "dare to be stupid" in his dialogue. he even threw his old toy at bumblebee.

Judd Nelson is back voicing Rodimus in season 3.

John Moschitta was recast as Blurr. he's the fast-talking man from the micro machine commercials.

We got Corey Burton as Shockwave again.

Spongebob Squarepants has done an AMAZING job with Starscream.

in this season 3 promo image, we see both hot shot (from armada) and metroplex, the autobot city from G1.

In this season 3 image, we see Mainframe, an obscure Action Master from G1 in the top part, and Cyclonus from G1 in the bottom right.

he's giving us Soundwave redecoed like the japanese exclusive Soundblaster, but with a keytar that turns into Ratbat.

Sari dressed up as G1 Optimus Prime for halloween.

simply put, there was a lot of love put into this show and toyline. but the highest of higher-ups at hasbro are canning it to focus only on the movie for the forseeable future.

a movie line that has maybe 4 toys the fandom is excited about, and a whole lot that the fandom is extremely ANGRY about (hello, terrible devastator)

    I'm gonna miss it.

I'm not really excited about the upcoming movie or it's toys at all. all because I know my favorite transformer series of all time is being ended in favor of it.

I love how every line other than the movie one is getting the shaft for the rest of the year. Maybe Animated will continue next year. Its always nice to dream~

        One of my favorite episodes.

Yeah, sad to see it go. Maybe after the third movie is done they'll bring it back...

Or they'll bring over a crappy japanese one where all the transformers have heavy southern accents.

When looking at the topic I thought it was going to be about Whale dorks. My mistake.
Find a dog, honk it's nose. If you are bothered by this sentence. I guess you're just not cool enough for the noses.

Wait, so this series is good? The design style made me think "Loonatics".

I haven't watched a Transformer series since the original.

The dinobots are the best thing ever when you're eight.
The series is GREAT. there is a bit of a focus on human villains in season 1 and a bit in season 2, but it's used to preserve the decepticons as bad-ass war machines who dominate the autobots in battle. if every episode had a decepticon battle, they would have to lose constantly, and that would get boring.

oh, and the dinobots are back in this series.

the series does have it's really bad moments (the two constructions), but it balances out pretty well.

While I like Transformers, I didn't really like this show that much.
Twothorp was in immense pain. The blisters did not care.

I never gave it a shot, the art style was a really big turn off for me.

I like the new style. Everythings so slick and smooth.

Plus, at least for me, its been the best series since Beast Wars. Transformers Armada got kinda neat towards the end, but before that the series was terrible. Robots in Disguise, Engergon and Cybertron were some of the crappiest shows Ive ever seen. I caught a few episodes on TV of each, and each time I wanted to like it, but It was just so bad I couldnt.

Animated got be back into Transformers. I was big on the old show when I was little, and then Beast Wars, and then nothing until Animated now.

I saw the beginning of the series and dug it. Starscream gave them a tough time~

                    But hey.

                    is carlos in this show?

Beast Wars was the only Transformers show I ever got really into.

I just don't remember it ever ending. I just remember watching reruns that would end at a certain part of the series.

yeah, beast wars came to an end. it was kinda rushed (they found out during season 3 that they had like 3 more episodes they could do).

last time I checked, all of beast wars was on youtube.

and damn, this season premiere was awesome.
