I'm 1900+ Miles Away From Home Right Now.

Yeah, I'm in St Helens Oregon right now, which is quite far from Michigan. This is the furthest away from home I've ever been. I'm thinking of seeing the ocean tomorrow to get some pictures? Should I do it? It's only an hour and a half drive to the Pacific Ocean but I don't know if I want to drive that far. (I flew here).

Yeah so I'm stuck here on business and I can't wait to come home.

I come home Thursday and it can't come soon enough.

Definitely go. Although it may be a bit overcast this time of year - the Oregon coast is absolutely beautiful.

My recent trip around the country took me to the coast in southern California (Malibu to be specific) and the coast in Oregon. Pretty different, and both were worth the time. So totally worth it.

It wasn't raining when I went to the coast, but the wind from the water felt like 20 degrees and was cold as hell.

Well, it was business, so a little. I enjoyed seeing the ocean but I hated being far from home.

I'm a home body. I don't like leaving the house, much less Michigan. Besides, I only hate Michigan six months out of the year. Being away from my family for so long was a big part of it.

I'm actually back home now. I'm glad the trip is over with. Maybe if it were summer I would have enjoyed it more.
