If you ever go to a Mexican restaurant or grocery store or down an ethnic food aisle at the grocery store, and you see GOYA brand Ginger Beer (it says Jamaican style, with a picture of a parrot on the label), you need to try it. Strongest-tasting soda I've ever imbibed. It actually burns the back of the throat a bit.

I hate ginger ale. I've never had ginger beer but the descriptions here make me pretty sure I never want to. Heck regular colas sting my throat too much for me to enjoy them. But then I just don't like soda very much to begin with.

Vernor's is amazing.

That's what I used to think. Seriously, I still like Vernor's. It's the best "name brand" ginger ale I've ever had. But it doesn't compare to what I just drank last night.
