Re: I just spent $98 on a pair of jeans.
i have a pair of jeans that i spent 120 dollars on that i wore everyday for like 2 years and they are still in pretty good shape and ive been itchy to start wearing my other pair of jeans that i spent a greater sum of money on around the same time. im not saying that the more expensive a pair of jeans are the longer they'll last or the better quality they are, but if you know what you are buying then you will get clothes made of better materials that will last longer and fit better.Originally posted by Denethor View PostI never understood the need to buy expensive casual clothing. i never understood paying 100 bucks for a pair of jeans, but they did seam to last a bit longer. elcheapos or midrange priced pairs do just as well. i laugh when i see jeans with holes and rips selling for the same price as regular pairs. maybe i should sell my old worn jeans?

Economy is in the tank because everyone is hoarding their money and not putting in back into the economy.Originally posted by Armored View PostOh **** the economy is tanking, what should we do?
I don't know about you but i'm buying these hella expensive jeans.
Oh good idea brah!
I spent a **** ton of money this weekend on videogames and clothing. Not like I really got anything else to spend it on (other than bills).

Economy may be in the ****ter because people are "hoarding" the money they have (which is definitely the smart thing to do if you don't think hypeinflation is around the corner--because there's nowhere ordinary to stash your money now at a profit), but we wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't based off of an endless cycle of debt spending.
I hope you enjoy your new, expensive, jeans! I'm normally not the type to spend that much on clothing--I'll buy it at TJ Maxx or something instead--but if you see something that you love, something you've GOT to have... well, have it!!

Those $98 jeans are inevitably going to appear in TJ Maxx or Burlington Coat Factory in six months for $32.95. And I'm going to swipe them up and beam with happiness.Originally posted by Toaster 218 View PostThat's the thing, though. I don't want to look like I dress at TJ Maxx.
(Granted most of them that get there will be XXL, but for some reason wearing your pants below your ass gets you street cred these days.)

That's funny, I was pretty sure the economy was in the tank because people were spending money they didn't have.Originally posted by Toaster 218 View PostEconomy is in the tank because everyone is hoarding their money and not putting in back into the economy.

The jeans I really like cost $30 a pair. I find that almost too much. I have 3 of them, but they are jeans. They last for friggin ever! Good thick working jeans.
My boots are pretty expensive though. Like $150 a pair. But I wear them everywhere, and they last me longer than a year before I wear out the bottoms.
