At my place of employment this week, we are offering 12+1 month Xbox Live cards for $30 instead of the usual $50. I can guarantee every store is out of them by now, and they're not available online as of today (one of those, "email me when it's available" things), but if you need a year of Live coming up soon, I'd go into your local Sears store and get a raincheck. Usually, I'm not supposed to give rainchecks, as most things you can order from our website from in the store and get free shipping, but as even Sears.com is out of them, I gave two rainchecks today.
Just thought I'd share, as this is just about the cheapest I've seen them for (I got a year card about a month ago from Amazon for $28, but it was one of those, "get 'em while they last, limited time only" things).
Then again, my two years on Live came courtesy of two bundles that went closeout for $22 at my work almost two years ago, and which contained a year of Live, a crappy standard headset, 200 points, and a code for a Bankshot Billiards download. Well worth the $22 (less than $20 after my discount) if you ask me.
