Is it possible to splice my xbox controller

for use on my pc? And if so, how do I do it?

I've read that I can, but haven't found any good info on how to actually do it without destroying the controller (which I've already done with one of them).
I'd like to hear from someone who's actually done it.

I don't have those things. I read it was possible to plice it with the end of a usb wire. I just wanted to know if that was a possibility.

Yes. you can. Plug it right into the usb drive. the computer will download the drivers for it.

If I have to, I have no problem just buying a proper gamepad. But I have a couple xbox controllers kicking around that I can't sell (cats chewed on the analog sticks) so I figured I'd try doing it for free first.

Do I just cut and connect the controller wire to USB wire then plug it in?
