Loco Roco 2 and Patapon 2 both $20 each

Loco Roco 2 just came out, and Patapon 2 is on the way soon. I love the fact that both games were $20 each in their initial incarnations, both built up enough word of mouth and a fanbase, positive reviews, and sales, and yet both have their sequels priced at $20. I could easily see both being priced at the standard PSP price of $30 as they are both semi-established, and would undoubtedly generate sales. Yeah, Mora's probably gonna bring up some economics formula or graph of price vs sales, and what price point would maximize profitability, but my point is that I do appreciate Sony still trying to garner goodwill with PSP owners.

Ditto with Noby Noby Boy being $5, but that's a different topic.

Any discussion of Loco Roco 2 (which I picked up yesterday) or Patapon 2 is also certainly welcome.

I paid $10 for LocoRoco 1 and felt like I overpaid about $8.

You're not paying attention, man. Lately we've been just as hard on the Wii. Maybe moreso. And that's not what I was saying at all.

I'm saying LocoRoco and Patapon are nowhere near substantial enough to pay those prices. They're more like flash games or screensavers than something you can sink your teeth into. But that seems to be Perv's thing anyway.

Here's a question for him, though:
Play Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions yet?

Have you even PLAYED Patapon? It's actually fairly deep.

And yes, I HAVE started playing WotL, but have yet to progress very far, as there are a ton of other games I'm working on that I will start to play and not progress very far.

In reality, though, Magus, even though I bring both my DS and my PSP on the bus with me every morning on the way to work, the DS and Etrian Odyssey have been monopolizing my time. And as HUGE of an Ogre Battle fan as I am, and as fully as I can see how FFT:WotL is Tactics Ogre in FF clothing, I'm kinda taking a break from SRPGs for a bit, and going back to hardcore grinding RPGs, as I sort of missed out on a bunch of those type of games back in the day.

And then Class of Heroes is coming out on the PSP, and The Dark Spire on the DS, and I've yet to touch Jeanne d'Arc....whatever am I to do?

Yes. I got pretty far and decided "Ehh. I've had enough." I found it slow and annoying.

THAT SEEMS TO HAPPEN A LOT WITH SONY GAMES THOUGH (GOD OF WAR) OLOL

I'd love to play Patapon (1 or 2 or both) but the one person I knew who had a PSP no longer does so I'm SOL.

While i do not like the idea of digital only games on consoles, i like it even less with handhelds, and while i do NOT want to support something like this, it will NOT keep me from getting Patapon 2.

                            WELL WELL WHA?

Instead, the game will be available via the PlayStation Network for $15 and—here's the twist—the game will also be sold in retail stores. The PSP cases will be empty, with a voucher for the download inside. If you purchase the product at retail, it will be $19.99.

****. That. I actually like having a UMD, thanks. I mean, it's cool that they're giving out a case and all (which means that's the version I'm getting) But dammit, my memory stick has hardly any capacity.

Hey guys! We're releasing a game over 300MBs. oh? You don't have a memory stick to hold that? Guess you've gotta go buy one! hurhurhur
