    Sick with a cold

    I'm sick once again with a cold. It practically swept through my whole family, with me being the last to catch it. I know a couple of people that say they get over colds in under a week. I wish I had their immune system, because it takes me about two weeks to get over one. How long does it take you to get over a cold?

    I hope I don't have a fever dream tonight....

    It usually takes me about a month and a half to fully get healed (I don't just get a cold, it usually comes with some other thing too), but by then I'm too lazy to keep taking my medicine, so I end up getting sick again.

    So yeah, if you have medicine, take it. And drink water and sleep. It really, really helps.

      Never more than a couple days for me, at least for the serious parts. Sometimes the mild nusance nose running/sore throat parts last longer.

        Whenever I get a cold, it almost always happens like clockwork: three days of sore throat, followed by a three or four days of bad congestion and headaches. Then it usually turns into a sinus infection for a week (unless I use antibiotics), and then a lingering cough until it's about two and a half to three weeks out from where it started.

        I would get this every four to six weeks in high school (due to forcing people who were sick to come to school anyway, as well as overcrowding, uncleanliness of the school, and my own lack of sleep). Sometimes I'd catch stomach viruses or the flu. It just absolutely sucked.

        Thankfully, since then, I only get sick maybe twice a year.

                  Never had a cold, but everyone says it's alot like the flu. I survived the flu once.

                      Normal colds usually last a week or less for me. Other sicknesses linger around for longer, and sometimes I've had a cold just will not die.

                      I usually catch a cold every few months or so, almost always before or on a holiday (so much so that I was amazed that I wasn't sick on Christmas last year).
