Escape From City 17 - The Premier

I've always felt that Half-Life would make a great backdrop for a movie. Apparently this was made on the cheap by some fans (The Purchase Brothers) who make a living writing/directing commercials. The costumes are home-made.

When more episodes come out I'll post them here. Lets discuss.

For an "indie" film, the special effects, scene setup, and costume design where pretty fantastic (except for the digital blood sprays).

The acting... eh, not so much. I liked how at the execution scene they just kinda flopped around when shot in the head. Someone should tell them that when you die your body instantly locks up.

Still... if this was optioned as a tv show I'd watch it!

I here ya, there are some definite similarities. What with the Combine using that suppression field to keep people from makin' teh chillins for about 20 years.

The difference is that Half-Life is way cooler. I wouldn't be surprised if Valve gave them a bunch of money to do it better, like they did with Portal.
